Sandra D Sportfishing travels the globe in search of the best fishing year round. Our summer port is Pirate's Cove Marina on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. After the spectacular winter fishing our guests enjoyed last season we have decided to make Isla Mujeres, Mexico our 2017-2018 destination again this coming winter!
We have started taking reservations for our Isla Mujeres Mexico 2018 season. We plan to arrive in Isla the first week of January. Call Mike 252-305-2825 to reserve top dates now. We can help with hotels, golf carts and restaurant recommendations. Isla is a great winter destination so come fish with us on the Sandra D.
Isla Mujeres is a beautiful island which is historically know as a fishing village located 8 miles off the Yucatán Peninsula coast, near Cancun, Mexico. With its white sandy beaches, amazing coral reefs and an average temperature of 80 degrees, Isla Mujeres makes for a perfect tropical island vacation and winter get away.
Isolated by island, Isla Mujeres is known as the perfect little "laid back" island just across (13 km.) from the hustle of Cancun. It has become a very safe family vacation destination with a great variety of reasonably priced restaurants and excellent shopping available. A diverse mixture of vacation goers from all over the world have found Isla Mujeres to be a place where time passes slowly.
Isla Mujeres' leading activity is of course fishing! The waters off Isla Mujeres are wonderful for catching record numbers of sailfish (upwards of 40-50 on a good day). And the best part about fishing here is that all this spectacular fishing is within a few miles from shore in its calm crystal clear turquoise waters.
We would be glad to help you book your hotel arrangements to coordinate with your families charter and vacation dates. While your friends back in the states are busy shoveling snow you'll be catching sailfish and kicking back with your toes firmly planted in the white sand Caribbean beaches.
Our daily charter rate this season will only be $2250. Weather is rarely a problem so scheduling is reliable. Call Capt. Mike Merritt (252-305-2825) for details and reservations.
During Sandra D’s stay in Isla Mujeres, Mexico we will be docked at Marina Paraiso. Marina Paraiso Hotel is a boutique hotel as well as a Marina and Dive Resort on the island of Isla Mujeres – the gateway to the Caribbean. Located on the calm waters of the bay just 20 minutes from Cancun by ferry, views are of a beautiful naturally protected harbor. With 20 rooms including four Junior Suites as well as 42 wet slips, Marina Paraiso is able to cater to hotel guests, divers, sport fish boats, motor yachts and sail boats.
